OK for many months now people have been speculating on what the new iPhone is going to look like… Well after doing some research and collecting data I have managed to grasp some info and bring it into a blog site round-up for all to see.
First and formost is the rumor of a bigger screen.
It is said the new iPhone (or “iPhone 5”) is going to have a 4 inch screen {see below} [up for from the original 3.5 inch]
In the pictures mentioned above you will also come to notice that not only is the phone longer but most everything on the bottom of the phone has changed in 1 way or another.
For instance,
The headphone jack has been moved from the top of the phone to the bottom and the Dock connector has been shrunk by roughly half the size of the original port.
The mic looks to have been either enhanced or just moved to make way for bigger *stronger* speakers
At this point “iPhone 5” rumors are beginning to heat up as more and more images begin to “show up” across the net.
I have looked around and came across one that may be real and seems more legit than most…
Although a redesign is inevitable to give a potentially bigger screen (4 inches) and a smaller dock connector to make space for the rumored “stereo speakers” (instead of 1 speaker *with increased sizes*). There is also rumors of them moving the Headphone hack to the bottom (next to the speakers) and making the phone even thinner than the 4S.
Just as pod2g alluded to in a previous post on his blog, it looks like the iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak will be demonstrated live at the conference in Amsterdam where the Hack In The Box conference is currently taking place.
“There are multiple reasons to jailbreak, including :
changing the iOS experience with powerful tweaks that can’t ever exist on the AppStore : SBSettings, WinterBoard, IntelliScreenX, LockInfo, and lot of others…
playing retro games on console and arcade emulators.
having access to a unix shell in you pocket, and all the open source software that can run on a unix OS.
The jailbreak is not meant for (and we are totally against it) :
pirating AppStore applications
Also please don’t pirate Cydia tweaks, there are people working hard on these, and the price is usually low. There’s no reason to do that.”
Looks like VeriFone is trying to “take on” Square by creating a Credit Card Reader (dongle) for the data enable phones out there. They have created something called a “Sail” that will be used to take credit card payments for merchants.
So how many of you have Google as your main opening screen on Safari from your iPhone?
Getting to the point, it looks and sounds like Google has been "accused" of "injecting code" into your mobile browser (without permission) and using your browser to track you. According to Fox News, Jonathan Mayer, a Stanford Researcher, and confirmed by a Technical Adviser, spotted Google’s code. They said they found that "on 22 of the top 100 websites had installed the Google tracking code on a test computer, and ads on 23 sites installed it on an iPhone browser." – Fox News
Earlier in the post it mentions The iPhone is designed to block this type of code tracking by default as you can read below…
"The companies used special computer code that tricks Apple’s Safari Web-browsing software into letting them monitor many users. Safari, the most widely used browser on mobile devices, is designed to block such tracking by default." – Fox News
In my opinion, this is very "creepy" and "stalker-like" since I use Google all the time for all kinds of searches and I realize my phone has huge tracking abilities but to hear Google is tracking me even without consent is totally a law breaking move in my mind.
In a objection to protect themselves the following statement was made: " (In a statement, Google said: “The Journal mischaracterizes what happened and why. We used known Safari functionality to provide features that signed-in Google users had enabled. It’s important to stress that these advertising cookies do not collect personal information.” )" – Fox News
Yes, all of these statements come from Fox’s Website
