Jailbreak updates coming from iDB

Just as pod2g alluded to in a previous post on his blog, it looks like the iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak will be demonstrated live at the conference in Amsterdam where the Hack In The Box conference is currently taking place.

The official Twitter account for the Hack In The Box Security Conference just sent out a tweet confirming “Jailbreak Live” will take place tomorrow.

What time can you expect to see the untethered jailbreak released in your neck of the woods? We analyze the likely time for the release inside…

Pod2G Jailbreak Update

Pod2G makes a new post about the 5.1.1 Untethered Jailbreak, also asks a favor/demand.

I won’t rephrase him, so here are the contents of the file at the time of writing :

5.1.1 Jailbreak Support (New Update(s))

According to Pod2G’s Website post, he will have his jailbreak supporting the following iDevices: (subject to change)

List of tested devices for the upcoming 5.1.1 jailbreak

Here is the list of devices that are known to work for sure :

• iPhone 4S

AutoProtect iPhone Tweak (UPDATED)

So it looks like a Developer named Fllotouch created a tweak that is very useful for all that have passcodes on their iDevice.

Pod2G has just tweeted that his iPad 3,1 is running 5.1.1 Jailbroken UNTETHERED!!!

This is great news for all jailbreakers with newer iPads.

Looks like the iPhone Dev team is moving right along.

They believe more in allowing iDevices to be upgraded or downgraded than Apple allows anymore.

If you recently had a jailbroken iPhone 4S or other A5 devices and you saved your SHSH blobs, then accidentally upgraded to 5.1, your in luck!

The Dev Team has just released the newest version of RedSn0w BETA that allows your to downgrade your A5 iDevices (maybe A4 as well) to earlier versions of iOS 5 with your SHSH BLOBS (can’t be done without them!).

SwipeSelection
